Seriously you need to get out in some other boats to compare the wake to yours. Your kids are not to young to start wakeboarding, especially the 8 year old. Good luck!

all good advice. the fence i'm on, I suppose, is that my kids haven't selected their preferred sport. as a slalom junkie from way back, it will be hard for me not to impose my preference on them. a little time will tell.
and yes, there are a lot of relatively inexpensive ski boats out there... i keep running across older but cherry prostar 197s and it's hard to pass those up...
