when I had mine the stock cover was aweful. My custom was top notch. I have heard that the stock one's are much better. Have you tried to search on this thread? I think there are some topics on this already...Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

I recently bought a '10 22Ve. I did not order the Tige cover when I placed my order. I had plans of ordering from Evolution covers. After talking to my sales rep, and Mark (East Coast sales Rep for tige) I opted to order the Tige cover instead.
Main reason was, Mark, who travels extensively with a '10 RZ4 with Tige Cover to boat shows all over the east coast, says the Tige cover is great. He has had no issues with the cover, or gel coat rub.
Let me see if I can dig up the email for ya.
Edit - here is the email from Tony at Fortes, after he talked to Mark
I talked with mark this weekend during the boat show, and he told me that the 2010 covers are all felt lined where it would/used to rub gelcoat and that when towing with it be sure to tighten it really tight for less movement and there are 2 spots where he bungees it to the trailer which i have seen and could show you where to if you decide to buy the tige one. Also he tows his all over the country so if he says its good it should be good.Last edited by Guma; 04-07-2010, 07:04 PM.

I was about to pull the trigger and spend $900.00 on a sunbrella cover and I changed my mind. I purchased a custom made shark skin cover for $300.00. I love the cover. It fits real tight, I can tow the boat and it breaths well and it keeps rain and moisture out of my boat.

I would not tow a boat with the factory cover. I usually never tow a boat with a cover on it if possible. I know that my 08 Z1 the cover was not great for towing, and I know Mark's 09 RZ2 had the factory cover on it as we had that boat at a show and yes that cover did rub the gell coat and it looked pretty bad IMOWAKE ZONE

I have the standard tige cover and I love it...but...
A)I never tow my boat with a cover
B)The furthest i tow my boat period is about 10 miles
C) Other than when I'm on the water, my boat is in a covered area (either slip or storage).
That said, the fit is great on the standard tige cover for what I use it for. My only gripe is that I wish the cutouts around the tower mounts were a little tighter.
