    Vinyl Repair Kit Recommendations??

I searched and didn't find a thread that covered "do it yourself" vinyl repair. I have a few very small punctures in my seats that I want to take care of before they get any worse. Anyone have any recommendations??

well i know some will recommend just a drop of super glue on the pin hole sized cuts but I haven't done it myself.... I am curious as to what others do too.... good question!

I found that the gel superglu works better than the regular superglu

My vinyl needs to be repaired where the tower makes contact when it's folded. I've thought about having it fixed, but am afraid it will just tear there again.

          Any suggestions?

I looked at one boat that had some repairs made to the vinyl. I am sorry I can't tell you where to get it or what it's called but I can explain to you what it is....it was like a putty type of material colored to match VERY close to the vinyl. It really didn't look to bad on the smaller patches.
I would call West Marine and see if they have anything, if not call a couple vinyl shops and ask if they carry anything.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Do not use the super glue. I had a v-shaped puncture in the passenger side bench seat that was doomed to become a large tear with people sitting on it or snagging it again. I talked to a couple local car dealers and found a vinyl repair specialist. I brought the cushion to her and she fixed it the same day and you could not even tell there was ever a puncture in the seat! She even matched the coloring perfectly. There are lots of people that do this work and it cost me all of $40.00.

I had the dealers vinyl repair guy fix a spot before I bought the boat. It looked amazing after he was done, you couldn't even tell where it was. But now after 1 1/2 of sun and exposure, you can definitely tell where it is. It still looks 100 times better than a large rip, but I don't know if I'd pay someone the big bucks to do a repair if its going to look like crap in a year. But then again maybe he knew the boat was sold and skipped a bit on quality.
