Thanks Tony! We will definitely be picking up the boat with the new ride.

Working on some upgrades for my truck to get it prepped to do most of the towing.

And for all the rest of you not trying to start anything but......I have a 2005 F150 SuperCrew i tow boats every day, all week, every month, and i dont ever feel them, they never push me or pull me, dont ever have problems stopping them, dont really get much sway, BUT I GUESS THAT IS WHY ITS THE #1 TRUCK FOR ??????????????????? 33 STRAIGHT YEARS!!!! You dont need to do any calculating GCWR, GRW, trailer weight, boat this, truck that, GET ONE EXPERIENCE IT.
      To 91 Terminator,
I will take your bait, sounds like you have a lot of experience which is great, that's what this board is all about. not to hate on any one person or one brand of truck. it is all about sharing data. After all the more data you have the more power you have. By the way I have a 2010 F250 turbo diesel, I figure go big or go home as when you are pulling a tige you are pulling one of the flashiest boats out there...

I dont think the question is whether or not it can tow the boat, but rather if it can control the boat the minute some idiot does something stupid in front of you!

2004 Expedition with 5.4 Triton pulls our 4500# (Dry...) 24ve easily. Dual wheels on the trailer helps keep it straight. I almost don't feel it back there. Easy acceleration and cruising on highway. I tow with O/D off.

The only place I've trailer-ed with steep grades is on US 65 South of Springfield MO to Tablerock lake. It'll work h hard on the uphills but can easily keep 60+mph. On longer, slower, non-interstarte flat trips to Okoboji, I've got 11-12 MPG, but hammering to Tablerock it's under 10mpg

I have an 2002 Ford Expedition with the 5.4 triton and pulls the RZ2 well. However, I do feel it back behind the SUV but again, I think my wife takes everything from the kitchen except for the sink on our outings.

I have the same tow rig as Wallacmc...Navigator. It pulls my RZ2 pretty well. No problems on the flat roads in Indiana and northern KY, but when I get in the mountains of KY and TN, I can feel the strain. If I pulled the boat every weekend (like I did last year), I would get a 3/4 ton truck or SUV, but since I'll be leaving the boat at the lake, I'm going to worry with it.

I've towed my boat with a suburban (5.3L), a navigator L (5.4L) and a Denali (6.0 or 6.2L)...the Denali handled it the best. The Navigator does a little better than the suburban...but not by much.

That Denali has a 6.2L and it is a beast. I wish Ford had a comparable option. I was happy with the 5.4, though. I think the focus on the earlier threads, however, was the strength of the vehicle, not the power. And, as previously mentioned, in the end I think it is very much dependent on what the idiot in front of you does.
