V Drive and Transmission oil

Ok Im a little unclear. I have a 2007 RZ2 and I believe I have a ZF transmission and V Drive. However I have read conflicting stories about which oil to use for each one.

Should I use ATF Dexron III for the V Drive and 30W oil for the transmission?

Im sure this is a repost but I figure it would help others too.

I have an 08 24ve, both mine take motor oil.
Check your manual and cross reference the model number to double check. And just as a precaution pull both dipsticks and see what color they are, red is ATF and motor oil looks like motor oil.
Hope that helps, I have heard conflicting oil uses as well.
You can also call ZF and ask, the plates should be visable through the access port.

I looked at my tranny this weekend, I think it said ATF right on it.

My zf manual states ATF. When I went to change it it had motor oil in it. So after investigation. Marine Power told me they put 30w in them to quiet them down. I would see what is in it and go from there. Should be pretty easy to tell by looking.

I had my boat de-winterized today and they had to look for a leak in the transmission (which they found). They had to call Marine Power to see what fluid to use and they were told 30W motor oil.
