    Impeller puller

I have seen a lot of talk about impellers lately. Is this a good price for a puller?

That is a good price on that puller. You won't be sorry you bought it either. Took me 10-15 minutes to removed the impeller with that thing and it took me that long because I was trying to figure out how it works for the most part.

I use needle nose vise grips. Grab center ring of impeller, lock vice grips and pull.

Be happy you don't have an MC. They have this neato thing called a 'master muffler'. Sort of looks like an inboard FAE. The cross tube goes right across the rear of the boat directly in front of the impeller housing. Some models have about 1 inch of clearance. Mine has about 4-5 inches so I think I can get it, but the last time I had a dealer do it, they charged me 90 minutes labor. I suspect they removed the whole muffler to get it done, which is what you have to do on the 1" clearance models (like the X2). Some WD 40 and bumping the starter is supposed to make it much easier.
            Be excellent to one another.

Malibu is the same way. Have only about 5 inches of room to work with before hitting the muffler. Using WD-40 definitely helps. Spray it down good come back in 15 minutes and then start pulling.

I just used dawn dish sope and water last time in a spray bottle.
