I have the 2005 Tige' tower. Looking on the show me your tige' thread. It seems mixed as to where to locate racks. What's your opinion, (pros and cons)? I have mine low on the horizontal bar above the windsheild. They are in my sight line coming back around to victums. When I was at Lake Mead a month ago there were about 30 boats in the motel parking lot we were over looking. I think the majority of the towers had racks high almost at the bend.

Here is how I solved the rack location problem:
This allows me to get my boat in and out of my boat house without destroying the racks, and it also makes stowing and retrieving the boards much safer. I've been using it almost a year and it works pretty well.Attached FilesLast edited by Tip; 05-23-2005, 03:03 AM.-Tip

Location on billets
I bought a new ski rack and am looking at locations for it. I wondered about drilling through the billet just above the tige' logo. I like tige's but I think they missed the boat when they didn't locate racks where the logo is, its a much better spot for racks than the logo. Oh well I'm sure they like to see there name. What are the thoughts? My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

I designed it, and made a full size model out of pvc pipe. I then gave the model and a drawing of the finished product to my brother and he manufactured what you see in the picture. I then bought two monster racks and that was it. I think my bother did an outstanding job.
I did apply for and receive a provisional patent from the US Patent office. I've had a number of folks inquire about getting one, but nobody has been serious enough to talk money, based on the luke warm reception I have not pursued it.
I love this thing because it solves all of my problems (with respect to wakeboard racks) with minimal drawbacks. It's not very sexy but it's very functional.-Tip

What kind of boat do you have? If you are serious, I'll talk to my brother to see if he's interested in building another one, for you. We would not be looking to make a profit just building one, just cover our time and materials. We'd probably have to charge $200-$300 to cover our time and cost of materials. This would not include the racks, which you would need to get yourself unless you already have some that would work.
