We have problems with the RZ.

Never had ANY problems with the vinyl on our '93 flsm or '01 21i.

They have all been garaged and well taken care of.
    Bad decisions make good stories.

I guess the vinyl workers who supplied Tigé were happy in 2003. My seats look showroom new, and I have used 303 protectant and 409 to keep them clean. I even used a Magic Eraser to get rid of some mildew stains with no ill effect. My deck vinyl did darken somewhat from what I am guessing is heat exposure from under the cover, but cleaning with 303 a few times and really soaking the vinyl with it and you can hardly tell the color difference now. It sucks to read the stories of all the folks who are having troubles tho.
              Ambivalent? Yes. Or Not.

(Form 1967 Shelby GT500's to 1967 Corvette's to chargers, gto's, you name it, these are cars that blow mastercraft pricing out of the water, people that spend 100,000 in restorations do not use crap vinyl cleaners whether they say vinyl cleaner or not.) and when we are cleaning cars that have vinyl dashes or whatever it may be we know what cleaners to use. So when you are cleaning with some crap product dont be surprised when you Tige' MC BU CC Moomba Supra Centurion vinyl takes a crap on you.
So what is this great cleaner you use???

The 97 tige we used, the upholstery still looks great. It was all replaced in 1999 after the boat sunk. I liked the vinyl on my 2002 20V better than my 2005. I reported stitching issues on my engine cover and thought for sure thAt the seams would split, 5 years later still looks the same.
                    Let it be!!!

YEP, How else do you get on the boat. You can not help to get water on it. I try to have peps dry off as much as possible before getting on and keep towels over the deck to keep it as dry as possible but it really never helps the towel is dripping water by the time the second rider is done riding. So it is better to just take it off the deck and let them dry between riders. Just keep it as clean as you can at the end of the day. I have also replaced two interior seats and boarder cushion that the have torn at the threads. Right around $500.00 replacement already. I hope the 09 2010 don't have these problems. I have a friend who bought his Malibu 2 weeks before I bought my boat and his interior gets soaked and he hardly ever cleans it. It is all still intact with out any tears, or failures.

I bet my has one, may be two years, before I have to replace it. The vinyl used is "CRAP".
Quit using the Babe's 90% of the people that use that stuff on the seats is having issues it seems. I use Ducky and only Ducky on the interior and exterior Well Babes Boat Bright is the best quick wax and clean up. So they have their good and bad products.

For sure. The interior on my 01 21i was way better than that of my 05 24v, no comparison as the 05 vinyl felt like paper thin to me. When I was shopping for an RZ, I was told that the vinyl on the 09s and up were going to be more in line with what was around in 01. I take it that didn't happen??

So now that we know there is a problem what can we do to prevent this?
Lets have some tips from those that have and have not had problems. What they have and have not used. Maybe we can find common problem and avoid it.

I know I have used the Magic Eraser and that is a No No. I have also used gallons of babes cleaner and seat conditioner.

X2...what is the best cleaner to use? I want to stock up on whatever it is before the season starts.

SBFAN mentioned Duckys...is there consensus on Duckys? Where do I find it? My interior is fine right now...and i want to try and keep it that way!
