It's not impossible. It comes off just like it goes on. The teak version might be a little easier but a ratcheting box wrench means it takes an extra 10 minutes max then the quick releases.

My boat is ether in the water or dry in the garage (with deck off). Quick release is the only way for me. An extra 2-3 min and my boat and deck are kept out of the weather. (Still looking new). Without the quick release I couldn’t keep her spotless. No choice. ($38 what's that 10 gallons?
