Use a Marine Grade Oil. Here is an article from Boating Life Magazine.

I use Castrol marine oil. Straight 30wt.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Does Royal Purple make a marine oil?
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's just that yours is stupid.

I was thinking the same. How long will you run until you change it?

Pretty sure they do. I know they have been heavily advertising on boattest.com for a while. In fact, boattest posted some articles claiming that they ran tests showing the Royal Purple significantly lowered the fuel consumption and noise levels from engines. Seemed pretty amazing, but I don't know how much the advertising dollars may have influenced the "testing".

                      Edit:
Here is the boattest article: http://www.boattest.com/resources/vi...px?NewsID=3844

And, after looking at their website, while they promote it's use in marine applications, it looks to me that it is their standard motor oil, not a marine-specific blend. http://www.royalpurple.com/motor-oil-m.html

I will run it about 25 hrs. but, I am sure it can go longer. It always looks clean.

Why is it that you think you can run longer on this brand of oil?
I have seen no SAE data to back up the extension of there oil change , it has no different suspension of contaminants than any other good quality oil.
I only recommend engine manufacturers time schedule for oil changes , in this case GM , their staff has a lot more testing hours on their engines than any one oil company.
