    Evolution Covers Group Buy

I just contacted Cory about getting an Evolution Cover for my 22Ve.

He gave me a price which I am fine with, but I saw this on his website and was wondering if there were 3 other people interested in getting one to get the Volume Pricing.

    From the Evolution Covers' website....
    Volume Pricing
    Price reductions year round!
Tell your friends or club members. Once you get a minimum of four confirmed orders, contact Evolution Covers to receive your volume pricing.

I will leave this open until Mar 15th. If we do not have 3 other people to commit for the GB I will place my individual order.

Can you trailer the boat with one of these? I'm just curious becasue i am in the market for a new cover but i like to use mine when i tow the boat. Also, I have a 22v, will the group buy still work with different model boats or do they all have to be the same?

I will forward your questions to Cory and get back to you with his answers....

From my understanding of what is posted on his site, is that we could order covers for different boats, models, years, etc... just so long as we have 4 ordering at one time.

Sounds good. These look like really nice covers.

          Reply from Cory...

They are designed to be trailered
10% off for the GB - which based on my pricing is a touch over $80 off
Orders have to be the same color

Since I started this based on my pending order the color will be black if anyone is interested.

Call Harvey at TIGE they still have some TIGE Covers probably for your boat. They were selling them for 200 and some changes. I actually bought 2 of them for my 24V so when one wears out I have a back up.

Alright, I'm in! Black is my color of choice as well so that's good with me.

What is the difference between these and Tige' Covers? Do these not scare the gel when towing?

I have towed with mine and not had any problems at all. I do put a small towel under the buckels as extra protection but I have towed mine a few thousand miles now like this and have not had any problems.

The Evolution covers are custom covers and they are also very nice and I am sure worth every dim.

I just know that TIGE had a few of the 22V covers left they may all be gone now. They are a cost effective cover for the price.

One of the reasons I was going with the Evolution cover was I could have sworn I read on here somewhere (can't find it now) that the Tige factory covers were not made for towing and would scratch the gel coat. With SPBFAN's comments I am rethinking this purchase.

Can anyone else chime in with their experience with the Factory cover?

I have had ZERO issues with my factory Tige cover. I tow long distances with it and have had no issues with scratching and I have black gel under the rubrail where the cover sits.

I tow with my factory cover all the time. No problems.

I've towed 600 miles round-trip numerous times with the Tigé cover on a 22Vé. I have never had problems with the gelcoat. I keep the strap snugged up pretty tight and pull the pop-up cleats through the holes in the cover. The top of the cover draws down nicely on the top of the boat.

I have even accidentally left the swim platform cover on and towed 250 miles.

I have had a little problem with the top of the Visionair seat being a high point and the cover riding on top of it. But, that would happen with any cover.

I am seriously regretting telling Tony to not get teh factory cover now. Guess I have an email to send.

Kasey - regretfully I am not going to follow through with this purchase of an evolution cover. Sorry for getting your hopes up!
