    Got my new sound system...

Well I got a few pieces of the new system yesterday and let me tell you I am super JACKED!!! Hopefully I get the rest minus one amp today when I get home. I will post pictures of it when I get everythign up and running. Below is a list of what the new system is made up of.

Kicker KMT6s power by the Kicker 08zx450.2 amp
4 KM6000s for the interior powered by the Kicker 08zx700.5
    10'' Sony Xplode Sub
The head unit is the next upgrade so I won't even list it yet but it will be the Sony with wired remote for the driver.

I am so jacked I just can't wait to get it installed and be out on the water but I am at least 2 months from that

I would have bought Wetsounds equipment. The component quality is night and day.

Well "nobody", nobody cares........as in, you are the only one that cares about your own comments. What a D-bag statement you just made to the original poster I'm pretty sure you didnt have a clue as to what a Wet Sounds was until you bought the boat.

Now, from a professional standpoint. I will have to disagree with your statement, there is not a night and day difference in the quality of these two brands. Both Kicker and Wet Sounds have designed and built extremely high quality components. 2nd, i'm guessing you have no actual experience with any other brands other then the poorly setup crap that was on your old boat.

Sounds like a great off-season project! Good luck with the install.

If I had money to burn, like you try so hard at making the rest of us think you do, then I would clear my busy schedule and do that

Mike, please share how I've given you the idea that I have money to burn? If I really had money to burn I'd be in a different league (boat-house-car). My assessment tells me you and I are in the same league. 60+ hour work weeks of dedication to career and family. Your still invited to join us and I'll dismiss your angst as stress related anxiety unrelated to to myself or the forum.

Petrey - I'm running KMT6's off the same amp. And I have the same sub installed at the drivers side kick panel - (running off a different amp)
It's loud and clear, and I can hear it while wakeboarding and surfing. I mounted mine on the front bar of the tower, as we use our factory bimini quite a bit. I'd like to try and figure out a way to change the mounts so I could compensate for the curve of the front tower bar and point them straight back.

-and for what it's worth, I completely agree with chpthril.

Looks like you have an 08 were the factory bimini wraps around the rear cross bar. I would suggest looking into having the bimini modified where it attaches to the rear bar so it would allow for the speakers to be moved to the rear bar. It may cost a few bones, but the end result would be far better then trying to modify the KTM6 or clamps.

Well said. Sort of reminds me of the past.

I have Wetsoiund Pro60's on tower and Kicker Amps and cabin speakers and they produce adequate sound for the longliner to hear as well as people way down the lake. We only use that high a volume on the BIG resevoir lakes.

The only change I would make to my setup is to upgade to a new Clarion H/U. Clarion so I could keep my remotes but that means I get to keep and not be forced to sell.

The remotes have changed. CMRC1 is now a now MW1 or MW2 for all the newer 09/10 models. The electrical connector (pin arrangement) has changed. Bought the CMS1 and had to buy new remotes. So if anybody's looking to buy two Clarion remotes (MCRC1) with cables, let me know. I need to burn more money and what to buy a boom this summer. Should I buy it from Mike?
