RZ2 swim platform

Well I thought I would update this thread. I finally got around to taking some pictures and surfing on my boat with the new platform. The surf wave is a 100X times better with this platform. There is no lip and it seems to be a much longer wave. I dont have any pictures of the wave but its just like the new 2010 RZ2s.

I ended up just using my existing brackets and it worked perfectly. I just measured several times and drilled and tapped the holes. There is an aluminum brace that is embedded in the fiberglass.

Tim thats a tough one. If money is not an option I would say go for the platform. Especially since I know you like to surf a lot. I have put a ton of weight and had a lot of weight configurations but I still cant seem to get away from that lip that is formed by the old platform. With the old platform It seemed like the more its weighted the bigger the lip, especially starboard side. Port side on my boat with the old platform seemed to work fine though. However, the old platform never impeded my surfing ability and I still had fun with it. I wanted mine changed out because 1. It didnt match my hull color (old one was white), 2. Didnt like the rough é material and lastly the lip it caused on the surf wave.

It does appear that I can really load the boat down and get a clean big wave with this new platform where as with the old one I knew I would have a lip.
