    RZ2 swim platform

Does anyone know if the new Tige swim platforms will fit on a 2007 RZ2? Are the mount points the same? I am looking to swap out my original platform with the shorter, softer material platforms.

We have come to the conclusion that the platform is different is size but the mounts are the same.

However, look up the SeaDek thread. There is someone asking about spanning the material over the existing hump that we have.

If you can wait I will let you know in May. I am getting a new 2010 swim deck on my 08 that had voids in the fiberglass. I was told it would fit by the dealer.

I am going to grind the seperation out of my Ve platform. I know the RZ's "hump" is bigger but I don't see why you couldn't do the same.

I would be nervous to grind it down. How thick is the gel & fiberglass - would it create much of a weakened zone? And by removing the gel, would it potentially allow water inside that could cause issues?

I think it would be better to add a filler to the depressed sections, rather than grinding down the raised area. If you search for SeaDek, there was a thread a while ago that showed one that had been filled in. Red and white RZ, I think, with a Bob Marley rasta pattern on the SeaDek pad.

Maybe a better idea! I do remember the Bob Marley Mat.

Once you grind it down, coat with epoxy resin. Now it's as sealed as the original gel-coat.

We just ground done a 2008 22i and installed the 2010 pad, we took 5200 and smeared a thin coat over exposed glass, the glass is very thick and dont see any ill effect, pad fits good and looks awesome.

I guess no one else has done this? I guess I am the guinea pig since I should be receiving my new platform in a few weeks.

Tigé said it should fit so I think I am good.

Someone made a 100% Acrylic swim platform, embedded red LED's. Anybody know who that was? I saw it on WW.

Has anybody ever refitted their swim platform permiter edge with stainless or rubrail?

I'd like to do something to the edge of my platform. The riveted black band around it it pitiful. We've only had the boat for one summer and it's not holding up well. The rivets tear out of the fiberglass.
