Let me be a little more clear, Its a 196 Open bow Air Nautique Direct Drive so not the same boat. I will miss the skiing but I have been doing more Hydro Foiling and would like to do some surfing. Maybe somebody who knows the Z1 can help with how much ballast I will need.

Does it have the factory ballast system? If so, you should be able to get a pretty good surf wake just with that. If not, then a couple folks on here would be happy to help set you up. Search for Z1 ballast and see if that gets you started.

if you find out about the ballast let me know. i just bought a brand new 08 Z1 with factory ballast i still have 2 1/2 months to think about it then three and a half months to perfect it.
