    laptop bag.....???

I know, it's not boat related. Sorry. Some of you seem to have the links for every-dam-thing though. I can not find a nice briefcase or bag that will fit an 18.4" laptop in it. Anyone have any ideas where to look? The manufacturer's black vinyl bags look horrible. I won't use those. I can't find ANYTHING else.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I use a Samsonite roll along for my laptop which is a 17 inch. It's a big bag but it will fit overnight clothes and work stuff etc AND get into the smallest overhead on the planes.

I prefer Solo bags because of the "Smart Strap" & "CheckFast" features. I never have a shoulder strap dangling around and never have to take it out of the bag at a US airport. I do not know if they have anything for a 18" laptop though.

I know it doesn't help you, but North Face makes great bags. I just bought their only true laptop backpack - the Surge. I absolutely love it. However, I don't believe it will fit an 18.4in laptop. Mine is a tick more than 17in and it is snug. If you buy from REI, you can return it at any point. 100% satisfaction guarantee for life of bag. Might be worth a try if you are interested in a backpack.

No personal experience with either of them, but I found a few. I like Jeff's idea of the North Face bag.

This is what I have because it fits my laptop and my SLR. I have no idea if it fits an 18.4" laptop but you might want to have something with wheels to carry that monster around anyway .

I have a 17" display and have 2 different Targus bags/ One is a bag that has computer section, a file folder section and a nother section for an overnight change of clothes. Works great. Darb thing is sso big I keep loosing thinks inside of it. It is a roller bag so when half your office is following you on a trip it beats the heack out carrying it. It does have a shoulder strap also.

I also have a Tagus Backpack that has rollers and the 17" is a tight fit. Targus IMO has one of the best computer bags for the money.

Thanks for the input guys! It looks like I'm pretty much stuck with the Targus--which I don't really care for. It's just too vanilla for my taste. I will bomb over to Wilson's before I pull the trigger, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I wish I would have just bought a 17" laptop!!
