You are way too high priced for your boat. Nada has you at $28,000 to $32,000. Add another grand with your stereo and you are at $33,000.
In this market no one and I mean no one with any knowledge is going to give you what you want.
I sold my 06 22V two years ago in March and got $44,500 and that was before the market tanked.
Good looking boat though and good luck with your sale.

I agree, your price is on the high side. That is what I payed for a new 08 20v with similar options.

          debateable

The crazy thing about the boat market is that I see boats listed for a wide range of prices, depending on condition, market and location. I've seen this same boat priced between $28K and $44K. I've also added the ballast, which is not a stock item with this model. This boat is better than new.

I've seen other boats similar to this go for up $50K. I'm very glad that you both got great deals on a new Tige in 2008 (the year of the performance boat great depression) where dealers in AZ only sold 2 to 5 boats all year! But, things are turning around and values are coming back up.

This is a great boat for the price.

Sorry to tell you but, I bought my boat in '09. The economy has not gotten any better. If you get that out of your boat then that is great because that means I can use mine for two years and sell it for what I paid for it.

              question

Thanks for the insight, ajhold7. what kind of industry research have you done in 2010 that would lead you to give this suggestion? I've been looking at dozens of outlets for boat sales.

BTW, I've heard its best to keep a performance boat for about 5 years before reselling it, and not just two.

I am not going to respond anymore because I don't see anything productive coming from this post. If you wish me to deleate my posts I will. You posted an add with a poll in it so I thought you wanted opinions. I gave you mine. I did not mean to cause any trouble.

You must work on Wall Street. They are the only ones who seem to be riding that bandwagon.

The rest of America is not. And will not, at best, for at least another year, most likely more than that.

That being said. If you get the price your asking, kudos to you.

Best of luck. And may you get the most from your sale.

Your price for your blue and frost 20V at $39,999 is a few grand more than I payed for my 2007 20V new in Oct of 07. Our options are very close where I have a Samson Sports Razor Tower and you have the E-Series Tower. I added tower speakers and lights to the Razor tower. The only Item I have not invested in is ballast tanks because none of my family wakeboards. We are old school skiers.

There is a radical difference in apperance where mine is a three color arrangement that you either love or hate. I have looked at the internet to see what people are asking and many of them are asking too much but as spring fever hits they may get a grand maybe two more that average price which for 20V's is around $32k depending on what part of country you are in. Mine has 25 hours on the meter which is off by 22 hours since all the original hours were lost when the brain box went to Marine Power to get flashed for the surging issue it had when Speedset was used. The picture I attached is one where I had the fiberglass platform in the garage. We left it off when we washed and waxed the boat later that day.

I am not selling until late July so that we can enjoy one last boating vacation as a family before I sell her because of a disability. I don't expect it will sell for $33K but I will test the waters at that number.

I hope you can get close to your asking price and if you do post to the forum what you got. I have watched the numbers and don't think what you are looking for $39k will hold up with 09 20V's selling below that. Who knows it is a fickle market and you might find a buyer who looked at newer models that had high asking prices but were selling lower. Mine showed a dealer list of something like $55k and after telling the sales rep he was not moving an end of season boat for that he needed help to recalibrate that exagerated price and get the numbers
inline with what the model is selling for

                      Good Luck.

For short weekend Jaunts I tow it with my 2002 4.7L V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee with full time QuadraTrac 4x4 and towing package. The Jeep can handle the 20V without any problems. You know the boat is there but I am able to deal with passing when needed and I can accelerate fairly well with the Jeep. Other than 11-12mpg the only issue we have with the Jeep is space for my Labradors and luggage for longer trips.

For longer trips from Northern IL to Oakland Arkansas were we boat on Bullshoals for a week or 2 every year we use our 08 Chevy Tahoe with towing package. It has rear air and DVD for the others traveling with us plus our Labs have more room. It is also a 4x4 and has more power towing with a different gear ratio and a few more horses under the hood.

I appreciate all the comments, even yours AJ. I didn't mean to sound defensive, it's just that the only thing thats going to help turn the market around is consumers positive thinking. Keep them coming.

I read a comment about a having to be a NYSE broker to make those kind of remarks. It's funny, just negative gossip and worry about investments can make any stock plummet because investors don't want to loose money. Well, in a way, we are ALL TIGE investors! Its up to us to turn this market around.

I spoke with performance boat shop owners and sales guys in AZ in 2008 and 2009 to get real sales figures so that I could try and keep my hands on the pulse of the industry. I also went to the boat show each year at the Phoenix Civic Plaza to get an idea on which companies were going to stay in business. To put it simply, sales for each shop went from 50-100 per year in 2007 to under 5 in 2008 with a little more in 2009. With the trend, it should be coming up to even more in 2010 which has an aftershock on the used market.

If I can't sell her at this price (or close), I'll just struggle through the rest of this year and following 2011 it should be easer for me to keep her. Any other 2007 owers feeling my pain? Keep passing the good word!

                            Tige RULES!

May I ask why are you selling? Are you wanting a bigger boat? BTW, I think your 20v looks sweet.
