    rz2 and 22ve hull

    Are they the same design?

    #2
There was just another post on this. The running surface area is basically the same. The RZ2 has some differences with the Picklefork and more edgier lines but whats actually making the wake is very close.

They always pulled the Tige Pro Am with a V or Ve boat because if you put enough weight in the RZ the pickle actually can start to mess with and hurt the wake since its not designed to be running in the water.

Here's the original thread. Although it was asking about the RZ4 and 24Ve, the same applies for the 22Ft versions as well. What is below the water line, called the running surface, is pretty much the same. The difference is the pickle, which is above the water line........until, you load them heavy with ballast. At this point, you have hull in the water that wasn't intended, and as highrock pointed out, the pickle seems to have a negative effect on the wake. It would stand to reason this is why all the Tige pro riders have Ve's for their demo's and the Ve is used in the comp's.

Does any one know what range of weight will start to affect the wake on an RZ? Just being a little curious here.

FYI, the last I hear was Daniel Watkins had an RZ4.
