    sewlong.com

Does anyone have any experience with sewlong.com? It looks like their out of Salt Lake City. Towerbiminis doesn't have the pattern for the Z tower on my RZ2 and the only way they could do anything would be if I brought it to their shop. Since I live in Little Rock, AR, that's not feasible.
Sewlong also has a cargo bimini that looks interesting. Anyone in Utah had dealings with them?

      kerlee,

I called great lakes. They won't touch it because they now supply Tige. They don't even have a pattern for it. If it were going to be a replica of the one that I have, I'd just as soon carry umbrellas around for people that needed shade. It's too bad really as their mooring covers are really nice.
      Any other ideas???? Anyone???

Just get a custom shop to make you one. I have made a frame for a bimini for my Titan tower on my Nautique, but just havent taken it to a shop to get the fabric made, etc.

I plan to have it attach at the rear hoop and then out forward similar to how the bimini is on the VE tower. For 2008 the Z Tower did the same, then it had the straps that pulled it down and hooked onto the lower portion of the tower. In 2008 they also had the option of the extension at the rear, but I never thought it was worth it to me.

They started to supply Tige in '08? But I want a completely different Bimini. The factory Bimini is the one thing I REALLY hate about my boat. My hands have the scars to prove it. I can't do without it due to having little kids on my boat(ours and friend's).
I'm having difficulty finding someone locally that can manufacture a frame. There are plenty of canvas shops, but none that can do the frame.

Call my boat dealer here in Denver, Wakeboard and Waterski Specialty (303) 430-0202 and ask for Bill and tell him what you want. Paul's custom Canvas here in Denver makes stuff for Bill and he may already have a custom template that Paul's is building for him, not sure on that but it's worth a phone call to find out.

                Timmy,
Thanks! I'll post on here as to what I find out. Do you have the E or the Z on your boat?

I have an E tower on mine and it has a custom bimini made by Pauls. I was thinking Alpha Z for yours but went and re-read your post, I'm certain Paul's probably has one for yours. the one they made for mine is very easy to use and after 3 seasons of use has only had one screw fall out. I highly recommend them, they did nice work on mine.

Paul's can't do it either as they have never seen a Z tower. The Tige dealer in Denver likes Samson towers more than the Tige factory ones. They've only seen one Z tower before. They did tell me the Samson Switchblade is almost identical to the Z, but better. I'll try that route and see how it goes.
                    Maybe I'm getting somewhere!

Hmmmm, maybe WWS didn't order too many with the Z tower. Are you sure they aren't thinking Alpha Z? I know they've ordered some in with the Z because my buddy has a Malibu that he put a Tige Z tower on and he got it from WWS but I think he made his own bimini (he builds hot rods for a living).

Bill was out of town, so I talked to one of the other guys there. He said they only ever had one boat with the Z and it came with the factory tower. I was specific about it not being the Alpha Z. That's when he told me the Switchblade was so similar. Samson thinks their bimini might fit. I'm looking at some others, but they seem to be my best lead so far. Plus, Scott at Samson was extremely helpful. He even offered to send some blueprints to someone local if they could make the frame! WOW!
