    when I was a kid we did the tennesse river from paducah ky to chatanooga tn. in these type trips you need ship to shore radio. I would call the lockmasters long before the trip to see what they need to get you thru....the commercial traffic has right of way at the locks and if they are stacked up you are sitting and it may take you longer than a day. you will definately want to map out your gas stops ahead of time. we did it in a group of 5 boats so it was better than being stuck out by yourself. if you do it good luck and have fun. I would also look into a navigational chart if the river is not set up w/bouys for navigation.

      What he said! On the 75 mile trip I did, we had no rain! Man would that suck...... the golden speed needs to be found, MPG and all. I used my flow gauge and did the math, 28-30... after the first 1/2 day everything started to sound the same... now That I've got FAE that would be a bit better... The best was sleeping in town in clean sheets after a hot shower and great meal.... a spy scope was fun too.
