Wake the World 2010

This is our 3rd year of Wake the World and it continues to grow!

WTW is planned for June 21 & 22 at Boat Dock Marina on High Rock Lake in near Lexington, NC. We would love for more boat owners to get involved. It is an awesome experience! We would love to see this event spread to other states. To find out more, check out our website...

ImaPigDog, thats great your coming all the way from TN. There should be plenty of people around for any help you may need. We never have a boat go out without several people in it. I would think there was at least around 20-30 Volunteers there at any time last year.

Its really a great event and I believe means a lot to these kids. Make sure you bring several different things for them to try out (Wakeboard, Kneeboard, Tube) since some may or may not want to try new things. I found the kneeboard and tube to be the most popular last year. I am very proud to be have been involved since we started it last year.

Also, its on the website, but anyone in NC should come out to WakenFlake with us in March to raise some money and have a great time!

HighRock - Sounds great!

We have a pretty good selection of water toys (2 kneeboards, 2 wake surf boards, 3 wakeboards and several tubes) to bring along. We host a lot of family, neighbors and friends during the summer. The kids will definitely tube or kneeboard all day long. We are used to that. But, we usually manage to get our runs in also!

How about life jackets? I am assuming that I will need to bring any extras that we have. Are there usually enough of all the right sizes for the kids?

I just hope they have the rock slide cleared and I-40 open again by June!

We have great support from owners and dealers of all wakeboat brands, but it gives me great pride that it is the Tige owners that lead the way.

When Eddie and I started planning this out a few years ago, we dreamed that someday it would spread to other states. Ryan is working on something for Texas. Tim has talked about trying something in Tennessee or Ohio.

I challenge all of you, as Tige owners, to step up and be a blessing to others. For those of you who do, I promise that we will do all we can from this end to support your efforts. I will do my best to be there personally to support you and calm any anxieties you may have.

Although the roots of this event is Tige based, we cannot tout it as a Tige event, because it is not. It is all about our mutual love of the water and our caring for kids less fortunate.
To pull these events off successfully you will need support from everyone. And it really is great to see Tige, Mastercraft, Malibu, Supra, Correct Craft all side by side in one effort. But it is even better to see those kids light from all the love, caring and time you spend with them.
