Lake Nastywater... wow, haven't heard that name in a long time. Was at Goodfellow AFB back in 95 as a Marine going through the Analysis and Reporting school.

Had a 18.5' Sportcraft I/O that I towed from NC to use on Nasworthy while we were there. I do remember the water always being mud brown in color. We once towed down to Lake Amistad for the weekend, that was a beautiful lake.

Lake Colorado City. We used to go there all the time when I lived in Stanton. Decent sized lake that is a heck of a lot deeper than Nasworthy. Good camping in the park as well. It can get a little crowded on the weekends though. They used to have an outstanding fireworks show for the 4th of July. I have heard a lot of people talk about Allen Henry, but I have never been.
If you're lucky enough to live on the lake, you're lucky enough.

Amistad is hard to beat. Water is clean and nice, a big lake so you can find your own quiet spot, and it somewhat remote so its mostly just bass fisherman. Someone on here rented a houseboat last summer and posted some great pictures.

I Live an hour from Alan Henry (In Lubbock) and have a place there also, it is the nicest one around this part of the area IMPO and we go there every weekend and sometimes during the week. It is open in spots but also has great runs for skiing or boarding. Great party coves too LOL!!
