    WakeHorn,

When I bought my first boat privately this is what I had to do. This was 3 years ago so it might have changed. I had to go to Texas Parks and Wildlife office to get this title transfer paperwork. You will have to sign it and the buyer will have to fill it out and take it back to TPW after the purchase. You will also need the transfer paperwork from the DMV/DOT office, this is for the tailer. You will need to sign that and have the buyer fill out the other info. They will submit this to DMV after purchase.

    Hope that helps.
How can I be racist when all of my assault rifles are black?

You need to print out form 143 off TPWD website and fill this out with the other party, this will also serve as a bill of sale. With that you will need to sign over the title. All this goes to TPWD office. For the trailer you will also need to print and fill out form 130-u, app. for cert. of title, and turn into DPS. I would call them to verify the trailer has a title first, mine does.

In Texas is is a bit of a pain because two entities are involved. DOT and Texas Parks and Wildlife. Neither are usually pleasant to deal with. Want to see what government healthcare will be like, go wait in those lines. Also, be sure you have everything correct or you will be repeating the standing in line.

looks like everyone has covered this.
            - definately get copies of the sale and docs for your records.
(sold a jeep and the kid decided to run a bunch of tolls prior to retitling it...I took my docs and they billed the kid.)

wake - they want you to weigh your trailer due to not all trailers in TX have titles, it is based on the trailer weight.

Nice ride. Are those WS 60's or 80's on the tower?
