    Getting My System Right??

Redoing my system in my 22v rider edition. I have replaced all the stock clarion speakers with 6 Kicker KM620.2 components and a Kicker C12 to replace clarion 10". My Question is will my current clarion APX480M power this or should I upgrade the Amp too. Next question is what kind of amp should I use to power my tower speakers. I have 2 Boss b-50s with MB Quarts and 2 7.7 JL Audio blunts. I have a 200w clarion amp, but I know that won't do. Help I want is to be right. Got the windows Limo tinted(after 3 places tried and failed (they couldn't make the curved window with one piece)) yesterday and it looks awesome. Now I want it to sound awesome

Wow, did the retailer that sold you all that new stuff not make sure it was configured, powered and tuned correctly?

Good thing I dont whore-out my advice with strings attached let me look up you specs and see. But, help me understand how this system is configured. If I read it right, you have 6 cabin speakers and a 12" sub powered by a 4 chnl amp? If so, then yes, you will need another amp. What style and size box did you do for the Kicker Comp 12" (is it a Comp or a CompVR sub?)

WHat model is the 200 watt Clarion amp is it you have?

The Clarion APX480M will be perfect for the 6 in-boats: the 2 bows on chnls 1 and 2 and the 2 port main-cabin on chnl 3 and the 2 starboard main-cabins on chnl4. The 2 pairs of main cabins need to be wired in parallel.

This will leave the sub, which ever one you have, needing an amp. If it's the Comp 12", the look for a Kicker ZX500.1 or the Ix500.1

      Looking into the tower setup.

      For the tower, I would suggest the Kicker ZX650.4 (120W's x 4 @ 4Ohm's) or the ZXM450.2 (225 watts x 2 @ 2 Ohm which = 112 watts p/speaker when powering 2 pair)

If you can sent me a quote on a zx650.4. I got the km620.2speakers new in box from a friend of a friend for $50 A pair. The sub is a comp VR and got it new in the box for $30. The 7.7 JL's were $250 in cans. So no rep. retail outlet was involed. Thanks for the help.

Thanks Mike for the advice. Checked original wiring on APX480 and they had all the aft speakers on one channel, Bow on another, and sub bridged on last two channels. They had the orignal two tower speakers hooked up to the apx200. I rewired Bow on channel 1 & 2, Port side on 3, and starboard on 4. I then disconnect tower speakers for the apx200. I changed the apx200 to mono and hooked up the 12" kicker comp (bridged). So now I need an amp for the tower speaker. Been looking at some 1200w 4 channels on ebay. Found two with built in PA system which would be great for teaching kids new tricks. The problem is they are Boss and Pyle Brand. I heard Pyle is a pyle of SH*T. Also found a Audio Pipe 1200w that looks good. I think I am going to wait and look at the Columbia boat show Friday.

Good job, you should notice a world of difference in the cabin speakers.

              PM on the way.
