    Perfect Pass... which one?

Ok guys I am thinking about installing perfect pass on my boat but I don't know which one I really need. Is the star gazer wake edition the only good option or is the perfect pass cruise recreational system good too. I am not a die hard doing 360s and stuff on the wake board but I want a good ride and my wife just can't keep the speed consistent enough. I know one is GPS driven and the other is by RPMs ... which one is worth it?

Which model Tige do you have? That would be a nice start

I did the Stargazer in my boat. Took about 1-2 hours to install with regular pauses for beer. Super easy!! I have had a GPS puck go bad, but PP was awesome about it and I had a replacement in less than 24 hours. Haven't had any problems since. I LOVE it. I'd buy it again in a second. NO cutting holes in the hull!!

Just make sure ALL the wires you remove from a guage get put back properly.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Yeah thats true I don't think I trust myself to cut into my hull. When your puck went bad did you have to pay for the replacement or did perfect pass fix it free of charge?

I have heard this asked before when contempalting stargazer, do you ride in a lake or river and how fast is river moving? If it is fairly fast more then 1-2 miles an hour, your water speed will be off. Going faster across water upstream and slower downstream.

With the stargazer it doesn't matter if you are on a river or not. Speed is speed with the gps. And yes definitely get the stargazer, it will hold speed much better then just the cruise control. Plus you can program in multiple profiles.

No it really does matter. Gps measures speed over ground, not moving water.

                    gps

i think zad right, think air plane. 200 knots indicated air speed with a 20 knot tail wind = 220 knot ground speed.

98% of my boating is done on lakes not rivers but we may make a trip to one sometime.

Maybe I will pony up for the stargazer..
