Because I stole it off e-bay

It was the right colors, had all of the right options and the price was right at just over 24k. For a 02 21v with a black scorpion, tower of power and 175 hours. Some might say that I stole it! I have gotten some great deals on e-bay, but this one takes the cake! I will probably have for several years and it will still be worth more than I paid for it.

I bought my TIGE without ever seeing one or riding one.
I had a MC and needed to upgrade, once I shopped around I realised the best bang for your buck had to be the TIGE.

The other reasons included warrantee, service and the sales staff @ TIGE - SOUTH AFRICA. They rock!!

Lastly, this is a minor issue but TIGE was the only boat manufacturer to send me a DVD and FULL COLOUR CATALOGUE of all their models for the last two years without me having purchased a boat. Nothing like having a dvd to watch while you wait for your boat to arrive!

My baby will arrive next Saturday , will send the pix of my first ever ride on a TIGE.

      LONG LIVE TIGE!

Storage, Storage, Storage... I have a friend with a 24' Cobalt and it doesn't even come close to the storage I have in this 22V.

I like the new underwater transom light - cool in clearer lakes.

I like the newer towers which are much easier to take down and lighter in weight then my 2003 22V Tower.

I like all the courtesy lights in the storage compartments.

And as everyone has said - you rarely see another one on the lake, and nobody knows how to pronounce the name correctly.

Re: Because it has a 454

Multiport fuel injection, 395 hp at the shaft, incredible torque.
                Hey Rebar,

Just out of curiosity, what kind of fuel economy do you get out of that 454? We looked at a Mastercraft with a 454, but decided against it b/c of the fuel prices.

It sucks gas from a big straw.

We run it hard all day long pulling skiers, banana boat, tubing, wake boarding and it uses a tank of gas. 8-10 hours. We are quite satisfied with that.

It probably uses a bit more than the small block, but you have to remember that when you have your black scorpion cranked up you are running at a lot higher rpm's than the big torque 454. This thing isn't even sweating when it is pulling at skier at 36 mph. It is just cruising. Tige's are heavy boats. This is the perfect engine for them.

I absolutely love this engine. It always has all the power and torque to pull you out of anything. My next engine would be a 454 if they still made them. I will probably have to go with a Ford 460 or something. This 454 has over 800 hours on it and it is acting like it is just broken in -- so I will keep it for quite some time. Nothing like it.

                  Best regards,

                  Rebar

I agree with you Rebar, my 06 24V has the 6.0 liter, and it really needs the 8.1 (496HO) in it. Oh, and a bigger fuel tank!!

Seriously, the 8.1 would be just right for this boat, tons of torque, with the powerband RIGHT where you need it!

MC and Malibu both have the 8.1 liter as an option in their 24'+ boats.

I'd rather have a Cummins/Mercruiser turbodiesel... 600 ft-lbs of torque, and you can run Biodiesel @ $1.50/gallon. (or less, if you make it)
                      Freude am Fahren.

                        Turbodiesel

The day that Tige puts a turbodiesel in one of their ski boats is the day I buy a new Tige ski boat!
