      love your Tige'

One of the main reasons I bought a Tige' probably won't make Tige' all that happy,,, It's because everybody & their brother doesn't have one!
However, the Quality, Technology & Options rate high on the list.

Stayton Motorsports in Oregon offers excellent customer service!

The reason for my first Tige purchase was the local dealer. Being a relatively small dealer I was able to speak one on one with the dealer. He and his staff treated me like I was an important customer from day one and I never felt like I just walked into a car dealership. (you know the feeling) Thanks Lee.

That being said, the boat should be a pretty easy sell. Very simply, Tige is a fantastic boat that looks great, has great features, great options, and still at a price that is more affordable than most of the other major manufacturers. If you haven't noticed, you will initially spend 10 to 20k more for a Mastercraft of comparable size and feature, but 2 years later they sell for very close to same money! Can't beat that!!

It's also fun to listen to everyone try to say the name correctly on the first try!

I agree on the name thing! I love hearing about people who know people that have a TIG (no e') boat.
The other great sales point is the laminated treated marine plywood stringers; other boats get hollow fiberglass that will soften over time. Physics tell us that laminate is better, no void laminate even better and pressure treated laminate construction guarantees a lifetime!

The reason I bought my 1st Tige (1994 SLM 2000) was my purchase experience. The dealer invited me to tour the Tige facility in Merced Ca. There I met Charlie Pigon who personally walked my wife and I though the facility and showed us how Tige's were made. As it turned out when we completed our tour, my new Tige (which was still on order) was sitting out front waiting for my inspection. HOW GREAT WAS THAT!
I kept that boat for ten years and never has a bit of trouble with it.
Over the years I've attended several Tige reunions and boat shows. Each time I have had the oppertunity to see Charlie Pigon, he would remember me as one of his Tige family members.
Last year I purchased a 22V. There was never a doubt as to what boat manufacture I was going to choose. I love my Tige and everything Tige represents. I my opinion, Charli Pigon is a class individual that leads a company that produces a class product.
As a side note, I too enjoy correcting people who dont know how to pronounce the name. Especially when they act like they know every thing there is to know about the boat.

uh... the only wood in or on my boat is the teak platform. Ok ok... the coated sub box too. Anyways, Tigé uses penske extreme material for its Lifeplus Core stringer system. Thats on '04s and later. 2003 had an all composite stringer system, but it had 4 traditional ones, instead of the lifeplus core design.

I am a big believer in the Convex hull and TAPS system. I beleive it produces better wakeboarding wakes and slalom wakes than you could get without it. It handles rough water better as well. A 'wakeplate' does not fulfill the same purpose because it does not have the hull shape to match it.
                    Be excellent to one another.

I love everything about tige: The weight of the boat, the convex hull with the taps system, and the ample storage room. One question.... Why can't tige make a boat with a two speed transmission?

My 21v is the perfect boat as far as I'm concerned. Great layout, awesome power, lots of storage, well made and superior wake (both for skiing and wakeboarding). If that's not proof, now 3 of my neighbors bought the same boat.

Also, we've got a great dealer in Austin, TX.

                          Why Tige?

I bought a 2001 Tige 21V and have really enjoyed it. It's our second boat ( first tige) and the overall experience has been good. While I have had CONSTANT issues with the Faria "Pilot" gauge, the rest of the boat has worked out well. I bought the boat because it is a very nice blend of performance and style. I get compliments all of the time about the layout and looks of the boat and everyone that has spent some time behind the boat either skiing or boarding really likes the wake performance. I was VERY VERY close to going with a Mastercraft and have not regretted my decision to go with Tige at all.

                            Because it has a 454

There is just nothing like this engine. Multiport fuel injection, 395 hp at the shaft, incredible torque. I make a hairpin turn pulling a skier at 36 mph and am back up to 36 mph in seconds after completing the turn. 10 years of flawless performance. And nothing else on the water sounds like it.

Because even at 7 years old it still gets compliments! Runs fantastic, and usually I'm the only Tige' on the lake. It's an amazing boat. When I buy my next one the only thing different will be length. And I'll buy new of course!
