I would like to note for the record that this thread has NOT been highjacked. A certain PW made that observation today. I was simply asked a question about Norris Lake by the creator of the thread, answered it, and my Norris Lake mafia had my back from there. Though I am new I pledge to try not to veer

I am good with you. Especially given the fact the OP began the questioning. I appreciate seeing other parts of the country. The only time hijacks bother me is when the OP asks a legitimate question and the thread gets buried in garbage. This was more one of those 'neato look at this' type threads.
      Be excellent to one another.

Definitely not hijacked! I wanted to see the pics and they are all awesome! It looks like a lot of fun. And in a very related way, Lake Norris is like Lake Powell with a lot of canyons --only more trees! Not to mention the aerial photo...

yeah, that aerial was definitely highjacked from some other site. I just hope I didn't break any laws in stealing it. Though, I do hope to some day get my own aerials of the lake. Yesterday, my brother in Air Force flight school took his first ride in a F-16!

I meant to say that since you posted an aerial photo that is was related to the topic and therefore not a hijack

i just got back from a trip which included a flight from Los Angeles to Denver, and got a spectacular view of Powell from 30,000'. It is amazing how big that lake is. Some of those fingers look like they go on for miles. It was really exciting to be able to pick out a few spots on the lake that I recognized from Houseboat trips.
