Once the block is drained, I like to dry out the bilge and reinstall everything so the boat is ready to go. It's much easier, and safer, then trying to find the removed parts in the Spring and remember where they wentMikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

If so, you have to remove both knock sensors, one on each lower side of the block, a plug in each exhaust manifold. From there, I just loosen the clamp and pull the hose off the transmission cooler. It's on the starboard side of the engine, just below the oil filter, and is the last thing in the fresh water system before the raw water pump. There is a plug on the trans cooler, but it's a PiTA to r/r. Next, pull the hose off the top of the raw water pump, this drain the remaining water and you will be safe from freezing.

it is suppose to get cold tonight so I went out to check my hose just to be safe. Chp told me how to get my boat ready but I haven't be able to get the hose off at the fuel cooler. This is the only hose that goes under the engine. But one of the big hoses that is up at the themostat goes down to the front side of the fuel cooler. I poured some RV antifreeze inside this hose, will it make its way through the cooler into the hose under the engine? It seemed to fill up the hose up to where I was pouring it in. I hope to do my winterization this wkend so I am not to worried but was just curious.Dale
