The importance of this did not really hit home until a few years ago when my daughter married a Naval Sub Officer. It is a true sacrifice for both the person serving and the family left behind. He has been deployed since May and will be back at the end of this month. Seeing the effects on my daughter being home alone for 6 months has really made the sacrifices they make personal. Not just today, but every day you see someone in the service, thank them for the personal sacrifice both they and their families are making to protect us. Thanks to all you guys who served as well. It is truly appreciated.
