    ex343 vs zr 6.0 liter

So I got to test drive marks 2010 rz and was very impressed! the only question I have is the differences in the engines? Marks has the 6.0 which seems more than enough power for what I need. I am just wondering how much difference there is power wise between his and the standard 343?(im looking at a few rz's that have the standard 343). I don't really care as far as speed I am more concerned with hole shot. I come from a large family most members are in the 250 to 300 range I'm the smallest at 225. and I just want to be confident that the 343 will get everybody up with 6 to 8 people in the boat?

I have a 375 in my 06 22v. When the boat is near full of people I wish I had a bigger engine. So if your planning to have alot of people out with you or filling up with ballast i'd suggest going with the 6.0. I can't say for sure cause I haven't driven either a boat with either of the two engines but just my opinion

I have a 343 in my boat and that will be plenty in a 22 footer. I usually have 5-6 people in the boat along with 2-3,000 in ballast and the 343 is fine. If anything a reprop might would help in your case, but the extra money for the 6.0 is not really needed

What is the engine upgrade price?

You can always purchase a different prop if there is an issue. The 343 will be a great size engine with any size Tige boat.

I don't know where you will use the boat but consider if altitude is a factor. Higher altitude like over 4000' you will want all you can get.As a larger person myself,(265 currently)I believe the 343 would be fine for you and you can always go with the surf prop (in fact you may want to order it that way). The only caveat would be if you want barefooting performance or slalom skiing at altitude.

After being in the boat business since 1981 I can say there are 2 things that I have NEVER heard a customer complain about

            1) Too much room
            2) Too much Power

Its always cheaper to buy it now rather than later.

I have the 6.0L and when I get a new boat some day it will be a 6.0L. Their is a diffrence and it is the hole shot. You still have to prop the boat thought to get the best hole shot.
