I put mine in until the front bunks are touching the water. I then winch the rest of the way up. I have found winching it is the only way to get the boat to center itself well without having one of the side skegs resting on my rear bunks.
This could be totally different for you since your bunks could be in a different spot, but winching it up is proabably fairly universal to get it to center unless your guide poles are really tight to the sides of the boat--mine aren't.Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Your rub rails should be taking the brunt of force and the pole pads should not even come close to rubbing the decals.
I am confused as to how this is happening. Please explain.Formertigeowners.com

I also have an EZ Loader and have problems loading. Mine has spring loaded guide poles that basically do nothing. They move when you hit them. I just barely get the bunks below water and whinch pretty much the whole way having someone in the truck to keep backing it deeper as the boat comes up. Takes a little time, but centers the boat and decreases the chance for damage.

Sounds like the PVC covers are not floating up at all, do they have end caps glued on? If not pick some up a the hardware store and glue (PVC cement) them on. This make an air pocket that floats them when the trailer dunks. A set of foam covers will also help and makes the trailer look good as well.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
