The dealer has agreed to give me a quote for repairs and if I don't agree with it he will buy the truck back. This happened after I had to get rude and the owner stopped short of *******. It has been 10 days since I bought it and it was in my possesion less than 3.

You should take the money, 10 days is BS, and you will always worry about the next time it will just stop. There are alot of used and new trucks on the market that will fit your purposes.

Good luck on whichever you do!

The only problem is I like the truck, but you are right I don't know if I can trust it. I gues I just have to wait and see what the problem is.

I would have them buy it back. Start looking at 2001-2002 models, which have the 7.3 PSD. Except for engine/transmission, there are very minor differences between 2000 and 2005. Things like changes in the grill, mirrors, headlights.

            PS. I have a 2002 7.3PSD and I don't lose any sleep about repairs.

The 7.3 is really hard to come by in this area, especialy in 4-door. People don't get rid of them or they want to much for them.

                RUN AJ.....RUN.....

If they will let you out of the deal then GET OUT!!!!!!

With that mileage this wont be the last headache you see from this truck. Trust me. I have plenty of experience dealing with 6.0's

If you decide to keep it. You can PM me anytime with questions and I will try my best to help you with any problem that may arise. Although that doesnt make the cost of parts and labor any cheaper.
                Bad decisions make good stories.

Ford actually increased the payload capacity quite a bit in 03 or 04.

I ditto on he "Run AJ Run" idea There are other vehicles out there that are as good or better.

Look into Carmax and see what they can do to transfer a truck to your location. It would definitely be cheaper than purchasing one in your area from what it souns like.

Well it looks like I am keeping the 6.0. Just found out they are gonna fix it for free. It has been broke down for three weeks today. I am just happy to be getting it back. All it was, was a leeking tube from the high pressure oil pump keeping the injection pressure too low.

                          Now that is great news.

With todays economy, you should consider yourself lucky the dealer was stepping up since they didn't have to.

                            Good News!

You should take it out and drive it hard for a few days to work any other kinks out.

I don't think they will cover it if anything else happens. I realy don't think they like me anymore.

Well, I suppose that if they liked you, you would have had to pay for the repairs - so thumbs up!

Ford does make a good truck, you should have alot of years of good use out of your truck.
