I hope I am not making a mistake. I am real close to buying a 2003 F-250 with 120K on Monday. I am about 90% sure I am going to do it.Attached FilesLast edited by ajholt7; 11-28-2009, 03:32 AM.

Anything more than your F150 for towing a 20V is overkill.
I have an Expedition that tows my RZ4 perfectly. And most of the time its filled with people and gear. There are some pretty serious grades on my normal trips.
IMO the added expense and maint of a diesel will never outweigh its towing capability when talking about towboats.Bad decisions make good stories.

I will never go back to a gas motor in my truck.

I have an 05 Ford E350 15 passenger van with the 6.0. I have 90k and so far since new the only issues have been alternator @78k 1 injector @11k. I do have oil that is "sweating" looks to be from the back of intake but nothing ever hits the ground and so far never have to add between my oil change intervals, which for me is @ every 5k and I use Mobile 1 full synthetic.
Loaded with my dirtbikes and a couple peeps it averages @ 19mpg at 71mph using the cruise control. Pulling my 24v I get about 13 to 15. Not to bad eh?
Oh yeah!! just had the fan clutch replaced under warranty as I had it to the dealer for a water leak(just a heater hose) and the tech found the fan clutch bad-------it never ever got hot even during a 110deg vegas summer towing the boat and hauling 8 people around!!

You will get around 13 pulling your boat.Formertigeowners.com

You may get 2 mpg better when towing and unloaded the mileage will be the same as your F150.
If your looking for that kind of mileage an older 7.3L may get you closer to that range. They are hard to come by. The folks who have them tend to hold onto them.Bad decisions make good stories.
