I guess this makes it official, boating season is done! We have 15" of snow at my house and it's still coming down. Some of the drifts are "Lab Deep"! Areas around Denver have anywhere from 13" up to 3'.
Well, we had snow in Sept, but the big storm was in mid or late October I think. The funny thing about you picture is that it could be our backyard! We had about that sized yard (std Colorado yard) and we also had a female yellow lab who loved to play in the snow. We took some pictures of us sitting outside with our beers staying nice and cold in the snow.
I just got off the phone with my folks in Arvada. She thinks they have just over 20 inches or so and isn't going to attempt any shoveling. No point really since their driveway faces south and old mother nature will take care of it in a day or so. My sister is also in Arvada and one of my brothers is in Superior. Enjoy the snow!!!!
Arvada/Westminster/Broomfield all got well over 20" according to the news reports. Luckily we got the short end of the stick! I will never own a house that has a North facing driveway again! My first house had a NW facing driveway and that really, really sucked! My current driveway faces West so it melts after lunch time. Supposed to be in the 40's and sunny tomorrow and then 50's and 60's again so it will be gone in just a few days!
That's what people don't get about Colorado. Everyone sees the bad weather on the news and thinks it's a miserable, cold place. Keep 'em thinkin' that.
Nothing like playing golf one day and skiing the next!

Or even the same day.
Like SoCal...
Surf in the morning and than go wakeskating and than go catch an evening snow session.
