    Watet Drain

I know there probably has been a post about this but I will ask anyways. I need to know how to drain the water out of the engine and everything. I have my boat in a heated storage but if the power goes out for any length of time during a cold snap I just want to be safe. I also want to do some winter runs this year so I dont want to do a complete winterization
    Thanks

Sure, its actually easy. On each side of the engine block, there are Knock Sensors, these are the block drains. Each exhaust manifold had a gray plastic drain plug. Next, loosen the clamp and pull the hose off the trans cooler. It's located on the starboard side of the engine below the oil oil filter. Once the water drains, reinstall the plugs and hose, tighten the hose clamp and your ready to ride next time out. Once you get the hang of it, it can be done in about 5 minutes e ramp and the take off for the house and let everything drain.

I would recommend changing the engine oil, v-drive/trans fluid, and adding a bottle of Stabil to the gas tank.

Remember ballast tanks too if boat has them. The pumps and hoses can get nuked if hit w hard freeze and a pain to repair.

If it's the factory system, the fill pumps and manifold will pretty much empty themselves when the boat is pulled out of the water. For the drain pumps, run them for a minute to get out any water left, then take a funnel with a piece of hose on the end and pour about .5 gal of pink rv/marine antifreeze down each drain thru-hull.

            Thanks Chp,

I thought I would have to try to pump the AF through the main ballast intake and run the pumps. Your way sounds a TON easier. And makes more sense!
