Putting the boat up...a few pics of the season

Here are a few of our summer. First summer to own after many, many years of waiting. Put 110+ hrs on the boat this summer and about cried when I put it away for the season. The good news is that when it emerges in the spring it will have a tower.

Agreed! I love the belly slide picture. Who's the photographer in the group?

Shooting a Nikon D700. Lenses are either the 16mm fish, 24-70mm 2.8 or the 70-200VR 2.8 Photographer is whoever happens to be sitting in the back of the boat. I will generally set the camera settings and then hand it to whoever wants to be photographer. All the kids from the 5 y/o to my 10 y/o like to shoot.

Nice gear. I almost switched over from Canon when your Nikon was released.
Decided to stick with my 40D due to the economy........
I also have a 70-200L 2.8 lens and LOVE IT! Got to get that fish eye lens though always
wanted one and after seeing your photos I'm really interested again. However, since you have a full frame
sensor and mine is 1.6 I may loose most of the effect I want with the crop of my sensor.

As long as you have a DX fish you are good to go. The nikon 10.5 DX fish is waaay better than the full frame 16mm. I miss that lens. Not sure what canon has in the DX fish offering, but they should have something

Canon, unfortunately doesn't offer one specifically for a APS-C size image sensor. However, it looks like Sigma has a nice one with great reviews. 10mm 2.8

JGR - I have the Tokina 10-17mm fisheye for my Nikon D200 (DX). It is a great lens for the money. You may want to check it out.
