Shooting a Nikon D700. Lenses are either the 16mm fish, 24-70mm 2.8 or the 70-200VR 2.8 Photographer is whoever happens to be sitting in the back of the boat. I will generally set the camera settings and then hand it to whoever wants to be photographer. All the kids from the 5 y/o to my 10 y/o like to shoot.

I LOVE IT!!!

We went with the D5000 and the 28-200 VR lens so we don't have to change. We apply the same principal....everyone shoots.

The kids want to know more about the board with the fin. What's all that about, any fun?? Worth buying?

18-200 is a great boat lens

The ski with the fin is a sky ski hydrofoil. They are a lot of fun. In fact that's pretty much all I do these days. I pull out the slalom for a quick set if the am glass is particularly nice, but then it is all about the foil. They are a little spendy but can generally be found used a little more reasonably. Just make sure you get a later model sky ski. The air chairs for some reason or another are not considered as highly.

The 70-200 is a crazy great lens (on DX for sure) and it seems on FX as well although the review have been less than complimentary...
