zad0030 - What are the dimensions of your garage? I used to do that with an 18 1/2 I/O in my garage, but got storage for the new Z1. I am now wondering if I can do this with my Z1. I think my garage is 19 deep. I may have to go home and do more measuring now.Friends don't let friends POWERTURN

Measure the length of the boat/trailer at its shortest state, swing tongue, platform off, etc.
Measure the width of your trailer/boat at its widest at the rear.
Get me those and I will calculate it out for you.Common Sense is not so Common

if you have a standard 2 car garage, then with the teak off you can fit up to a 23 foot tige in it IF YOU Have the removable tongue.
If you don't have the removable tongue thenabout 23 feet is as long as you can go which is typical for a 21 foot tige, platform removed and then the 2 foot tongue.

when you angle your boat in like you did, you remove the teak. In a standard 2 car garage you will get about 25-26 feet for the hypotenuse (sp?)
well then you have the issue that your boat is not a straight line and is wider in the back. By the time you loose the space, you get about 22-23 useable feet for the boat from corner to corner. If you have a standard trailer the tongue typically sticks out about 2 feet past the nose of the boat, so then the longest boat you could use is 21. IF you have a removable tongue that breaks directly under the nose of the boat, then you could have up to a 23 foot boat in your garage.
OF course this all depends on you garage.
that clearer? It's not that hard, your smart.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

My garage is 19'x19' giving a hypotenuse of just under 27 feet. Given the boat is atleast 102" wide at the rear means that there will be roughly 6' between the rear of the boat and the corner. Giving a total allowable boat length of just under 21'. Also allow for walking space and the fact that you will not get the boat in perfectly each time.

there ya go, guess I didn't have a standard garage then. I was just basising my numbers on what I could fit my boat in, and the garage I used to keep it in there was an extra 2-3 feet so you could easily put it in. I'd say your garag is small, my garage I just built was 19' 10 " x 22' 11"Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!
