I would like to know what dealers are located near my area? I had a great salesman that helped me through my boat buying over the last 2 years. The only problem is that when I finally bought a boat he left for another vocation, (good luck to him he was a great guy), but now I'm left with people that have my money and no vested interest in me. Where are dealers located that are close to Salt Lake, Utah. I specifically would not even consider a Malibu because the local dealer is a jerk and would not give me the time of day on three different occasions. I am in the customer service biz and that's what it's all about.

Stepping to the plate
I don't know what my dealer is up to? I took the boat in and went over all the issues. I was told they would give me a call, No call yet. I was upset enough that I would like to know the status of my boat play by play. I would like to know what other options are out there next time. I play on snowmobiles in the winter and have had great experiences with Wellers rec. They are over an hour from my house and two or three dealers away, but well worth the drive. That's what I'm looking for. I want someone working on my stuff that has me as his number one priority or at least it seems that way. It sounds like an ad slogan, but that is what I want out of a service company. Now that I own a boat and most of the toys it's now all about service. I didn't really make price an issue on my boat purchase, I figured they were fair and that was good enough for me. Before I bought my boat the salesman would call often just to see if he could answer any more ? I know he was just selling a boat. This went on for two years. My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

sounds to me like tige should be a little more selective when looking for a new dealer in the territory. not just the first "joe" that raises his hand. if this offends any dealers out there, then do your job, treat the customer right, understand there complaint and get it fixed. it's not that hard to do your job. if it is, find a new profession.Greg Denton

My dealer has had my boat now for a month and a half, resolving issues under warranty some of which had been wrong since the day it was delivered in july 03'. They just dont manage their shop well, i gave them a list of what was wrong and needed fixing they should have looked over my boat and ordered parts they needed to fix it that way when all the boats ahead of mine were done in the garage the parts were there to get the job done. but instead they didnt do that they looked over it and ordered the parts when my boat came into the garage, that is silly. Now i am waiting for another week or two because tige is 2-3 weeks out on vinyl orders. you do the math take 3 weeks from a month and a half seems like i should have my boat back now if someone was managing their shop in a responsible customer friendly manor. Guess ive missed a month of the early season and they have had my boat since mid march.

Dealer
I'm guessing that the dealer you are unhappy with is the same one we bought our Tige from in Draper, Utah.
I am a little surprised by the difference in experiences we have had. The dealer has treated us with amazing service. From the buying experience to the service details they have been excellent. Literally we have asked them for things that they didnt necessarily have to do and they always went the extra mile.
Our first trip was dramatically different than yours also this year, our 24V was flawless when we traveled to Mead. It was everything that Tige had promised us.
Bad experiences on a brand new boat are hard to shake but I hope you can resolve some of these issues. Even if you have to find another dealer for service I wouldnt give up on your Tige.

If you plan on going to Mead a lot, then the dealer in Vegas is excellent. I am now on my second Tige with them. When I decided I wanted to upgrade, I didn't bother to look elsewhere. It's a long ways for you, but I think that is the closest you'll get. I usually only hear good things from the guys in Northern Utah, BTW. I bought from Vegas because it feels like a much smaller, more personable dealership and it's only 110 miles vs 300 miles for me. When they get a 10 acre warehouse full of boats, I suspect they'll miss the boat (no pun intended) once in a while.
Boats of Nevada 702-564-5444 ask for Matt, he's the owner.Be excellent to one another.
