    Warranty issue

I recently took my boat in to have it winterized, since 4 of my wake board straps are broken, I asked to have them replaced, assuming that they are under warranty. I bought the boat new in 2008. They replaced all straps, and charged 30 dollars, ie 240 plus tax. The marina said it was not covered by warranty. I am looking at my warranty and I don't see it excluded. How can I find out for sure. This unfortunately, is the same marina, who stated removed my prop to have it fixed, put another prop on, that was definitely not mine. I know, because I bet the tar out of it for over 2 hours with a prop puller and an air hammer to get it off, the one that they put on was an older prop that had no marks where I beat it at.

So I very skeptical about this marina, should I be, or is the straps covered under warranty.

    Thank you for you information

As far as I know, they should be covered - 3 yr warranty - 1st yr parts and labor, yr 2 and 3 parts only. Call Tige and ask for Harvey.

Not sure about those straps. The normal warranty is what chpthril says but since the straps are moveable, they might not be covered.

Example: I had powdercoated uprights that were chipping and they were not covered because they were moveable.

Called Harvey today, extremely nice. He agreed that they should not have broken, and very graciously offered to replace them. I was more than willing to pay for them, but if it was covered under warranty then I would like to keep my money.

Thank you to Harvey and the Tige team

I would not highly recommend my particular Tige dealership, but they do not represent the general consensus of dealerships.

all I can say, is that in 4 -5 years, the 22ve will be for sale and I will be looking for a RZ4 or 2015 RZ6 with automatic driving

Great, sounds like you got the correct answer from tige. So, is the dealer refunding your money?

If it's the same dealer that I have been going 'round and 'round with, (and it is) I wouldn't hold my breath.

By the way, Harvey is the only reason I haven't gone off the deep and and pretended I was at a Viking funeral.<<<burning warship and all.
In all seriousness, Harvey is a great person. My marriage thanks him.

Harvey can only do what TIGE allows with in policy and he certainly does that. He is a very good Representative of the TIGE brand and a huge help to every TIGE boat owner and no TIGE boat owner that calls him. He is partial to TIGE Owners thought. . Glad to here he took care of you.

Talked to the owner at the particular marina, he was very easy to work with and will give me a refund on the previous charges. Again thank you everyone for your help.
