    09 Lake Mead Reunion pics...

What an EPIC day at Mead!

22 Tige's, 1 "other" and over 100 people made the trip to the Overton arm for yet another incredible Tige Owner's reunion.

Here are some photos from the day. It looks like some chicken grease found its way to my lens on some of these!!

Special thanks to Tige' for graciously sending Nick Weinacker to spend the night on Friday and all day Saturday riding with the owners and helping out the riders!

Somehow I forgot to take many pics this year . Again, thanks to everyone who helped in the preparation of this year's event - Larry (talltigeguy), John (Bad05), Andrew (spbfan), Matt and The Boat Shop, and everyone else. My boys and I had a great time. Friday afternoon I had a chance to attempt the hydrofoil and board behind John's boat. Everyone there was incredibly tolerant with my boys' non-stop energy and constant questioning, espcially Nick Weinacker and John's girlfriend Allison...thank you. I think that my kids managed to incinerate every bit of flammable material available on Friday night in the campfire, and somehow avoided any serious injuries.

I would like to shout out a huge "thank you" to Haney's Auto & Marine Care and CWB Board Co. for putting up the 2010 Kink board with Vapor bindings which I won in the raffle. Pretty cool to win a board and bindings that aren't even available yet to the public.

So, as I said, Nick was great in dealing with all the kids. Here he gets to help my son Riley build a sand castle Saturday morning, which they decided looked more like a sand Mini Cooper.

The water was awesome both Friday and Saturday.

And another big thanks to Mike (chpthril) for showing us some wakesurf basics, and Russ (Moki) for letting us borrow his surfboard for our attempts.

              And my weak performance:

Look forward to having another great reunion next year.

I will have my pics posted tomorrow. Just got home. Editing photos. I am very sad that my boat got broke I will post pics. I am so grateful no one got hurt and the boat hull on a TIGE IS AMAZING. TIGE builds the strongest boat hands down. If it were a bu or a mastercraft it would have sunk.

It's been a busy year for me so a big thank you for everyone getting everything organized. We didn't get there until late Friday night but the weather was great. I really encourage everyone to "rough" it for a night, it's a lot of fun and a good way to meet everyone. Erick and Andrew brought a bunch of good kids that had a lot of fun hanging out with Nick. Speaking of Nick, big props to him for making the trip, sleeping on a boat and entertaining all of the kids; he's a great representative for the brand, I just wish I could have gotten to spend some time on a boat with him. Big thanks to Russ, Andrew and Michael the photographer for taking Melissa and I wakesurfing, I think she's hooked. Let's try and make this less annual, my boats at Echo and you are all more then welcome anytime and I'd be glad to help out with gas on yours, see you all soon.

                      SPBFAN,

What did you hit with your 24V?
                      Glad nobody got hurt,

They found a rock lurking just under the surface. Looked like it crunched the prop, nailed the rudder, and did some fiberglass damage. I don't know just how extensive it is

I crawled under there once he got it out of the lake and it is bad. Strut, shaft, and rudder all bent. Prop taco'd on each and every blade. The rudder mount is bent slightly, depressing the fiberglass around the rudder mount causing some fiberglass damage...lucky that it was not just a little worse or would have had a big hole where the rudder used to be...and we could have been diving down to salvage the boat.

He found a big rock unmarked quite a ways from shore.
                          Be excellent to one another.

Looks like a great time. Hope there will be another next year.

Sorry SPBFAN! Sounds very similiar to my Accident except for the Rudder Damage.
