    rz2

I,m looking for an all around warersports boat. How is the RZ2 as far as cruising around the lake and pulling wakeboards and tubes? I,m also interested in how fast the boat should run with a medium load. Thanks for any help with this.

Welcome to the site. The RZ2 will do everything you want but it definitely won't get you anywhere fast. However, if you are looking for speed in a boat, any ski/wakebaord boat will not be your answer. The average speed between the various brands would be 40 mph. They are not built for speed

+1 on what da.bell said. The hulls on wakeboard boats sit too deep in the water to go fast. If you are needing to do 50 mph you might want to check out an I/O with a tower. Good luck on your search!

The RZ2 is a great all around towing boat, but as the others said wakeboard boats won't set speed records. Mine will comfortably go 40mph or so, but I usually cruise around 35....

One thing to consider is whether you want to surf or not. You really need an inboard to surf...safely. I wasn't sure I would be surfing when I bought the boat...now it's 75% of what we do. Just depends on what you want the boat for.

For what it's worth...I love my boat

^^^ X3 Great boat for what ever you want to do on the water, except catch bugs in your teeth , and a perfect size. Go demo one as soon as you can and demo any others that have your interest on the same day if possible.

RZ2 is a Good Sized Boat for a 22'. We typically have anywhere from 3-4 Adults and 4-6 kids (ages 7-11) in the boat and it really is not crowded. The cooler under the seat is a great option for the non-alcholic drinks (water/gatorades). I have a second cooler for the beer, that we sit in the middle of the floor and we cruise comfortably. On my home lake we have a lot of large boats (35'+) and the RZ2 handles the rough water very well.
I found cruising at 28-30 works real well. I did have the boat up to 46 mph the other day with myself in it, but as stated before, WAKEBOATS are built to PLOW, which is AWESOME for us WAKESURFERS and WAKEBOARDERS.

By the way when you are on the lake, why are you in a hurry to do anything other than HANGOUT??? I was going thru the same questions last year when I was looking for our first 'family' boat and my buddy who has a MasterCraft x-30, posed that question to me and it made me realize that a boat is a tool to help you relax...

Hmmm, so far our RZ2 seems to be a tool to collect bruises and soreness ... intermixed with a bit of relaxation
