    2009 Mead Stereo Showdown

Since my boat won't be there to win this year, I will help out with judging/organizing the stereo comp.

Here is what I thought of for a judging system. Each boat would get 1 or 2 mintues of music time, which at some point would showcase loudness. I would rather not listen to 140+dB music for a solid two minutes.

    Loudness - 5 points available
    Clarity - 5 points available
    Installation/Presentation - 5 points available
    Music - 3 points
    Judge Discretion - 2 points

A perfect score then would total 20 points. Or 40, 60, etc, depending on the number of judges.

Let me know what you guys think. I am not sure about the music play format and the last two categories of points. I just put it in there to total 20 rather than 15.

Great ideas. True that it is hard to listen to music that is very loud for very long.

I nominate CHP to be another judge.

I better get the rat's nest cleaned up (or covered up) if you are going to check my installation!
    Be excellent to one another.

Do we need my girl to step in and judge again? She does love to give people her opinion...

As many as want/need. I'm putting my test tones on the wife's MP3 just incase we need them.

I'll try not to be too biased of a judge

If you could give me some hands on tips, I would be very grateful. I got mine where I think it should be, but have no practical experience on anyone's stereo but my own and one other.

That sounds fair to me. G-Money, can I use a set of your 80's when it comes to the loudness parts. I think CHP would be a great judge for the installation and the clarity,
