Hi All,
Water level at 3639'-3640'. We spent the week of Aug 9-16 on the lake. A great week with mild temps. This year we stayed in Dungeon. There were lots of sandy beaches at this level. I'll post some pics later once I have them on Photobucket or wherever.
My wife and I are usually up before daylight at Powell. It is the best part of the day We have coffee and watch the bats as the sun comes up.
On Wed the 12th of Aug at dawn I jumped on a jet ski and took a canyon ride around the corner to Wetherill. What I saw and felt on that ride was to me, truly magical. Lake Powell never ceases to amaze me with it's beauty.
Two days later on my birthday I tried to capture the experience with my best friend (my wife Sharon). She stood behind me with our Canon camera and taped much of the ride.
After getting home, I split the video into 5 scenes and set them to an eclectic musical soundtrack. I even put in a few of Sharon's great still pictures. I think it all came out pretty good.
It was the best birthday of my life. You'll have to be the judge on whether I have captured the magic of the experience.

I don't think Dungeon has a canyon like that. Wetherill does. I have taken the trip on our Jet ski all the way to the end. The best was in the boat. It was an incredible experience for the whole family. My wife described it as flying, because you literally couldn't tell where the rocks began or ended. The video doesn't do it justice. It is unbelievable! For sure, early AM. That is the only time of the day it worked. I'll have to look closer at the videos and see if it looks familiar.Mike Allen, Tigé owner since 1997
