Since it is 430pm, 90 degrees and zero wind, and I am at my computer, I got a potential for the worst.
Picked up boat from other lake yest, drove it home, encountered some new construction, long story short, end of hitting my trailer tire on a concrete ledge that ripped a hole in the side wall. Luckily, able to pull in and put the spare on, the spare was new and never been balanced. Tried like mad to get a new tire yest, wife actually drove 90 miles to get one, brings it home last night, and it was the wrong size. Ok, never fear, going to a very beautiful lake only 40 miles away, and we can do it without a spare. Drive there, at speed about 60 the trailer starts to vibrate, stop, feel the bearings, all cool, most likely the new spare on a different rim that was never balanced. Make it to the lake, conditions are perfect, 85 air, 80 water, 5 mph wind, water clarity a good 10 feet. Drive around for about 30 minutes, we go for a swim, hope back in to wakeboard, put the boat in gear and start looking around, then we feel the boat list, I kill the engine, and we glide over a huge floating tree in the middle of the lake at 58 ft deep, going 5 mph. Put my googles on, hop in and sure enough on of the blades tip is creased, the rest are fine. Turn the engine on, go and feel it start to vibrate about 15 mph. Go back to our home marina, have them pull the prop. They prop puller is way too big, end up bending the prop more and then they give up.
So in 24 hours, blew out a trailer tire, 180 mile round trip for a wrong tire, bent a prop, the marina can't get it off, they bend it more and this is first real sunny warm day in weeks.
Hope labor days goes better for the rest of yall.
