    Guma:

What a blast - by now you realize many folks on this site are living vicariously thru your adventure so take lots of pics if they let you and they may not cause they don't like the others guys to see their goodies.

About 10 yrs ago we went thru the Formula plant in nowhere (Decatur) Indiana before we bought or 28 foot Sunsport and its really cool. I personally think its really good for boat plants to be in nowheresville cause the quality is better since the workforce seems more focused and driven by stronger work ethic. Cobalt, MC and several other high quality boat builders do same thing. Just makes it tougher for a visit.

    Have fun.

I am not going to be able to sleep all weekend now that I have this to look forward to on Monday!

I will definitely try and get pics, but like you say I doubt there will be very many from inside the factory. Whatever pics I get and a trip report to follow for sure.

LOL! Yeah I know, just that much more of a journey, I should take it over for an excuse to try and get a ride on Guma's coat tails
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's just that yours is stupid.

jbort is right about the workforce being more focused. Tigé is a premiere employer in Abilene. And the Tigé team has the drive and passion to building the best quality boat in the industry.

For those planning a trip, our plant is conveniently located near Interstate 20 and adjacent to the Abilene Airport - easy access!

Looking forward to your visit, Guma, and Fuh Sho you are welcome to drive on over and join the tour!

We got the grand tour when we took our boat for some repair a few years ago. We were treated like royalty. Met Charlie and all the people you hear about. Super people and incredible facility. Actually got to see the Z1 in development stages. Take a towel because you will drool a lot!! The tour went from watching them spray the gel coat in the forms, to hand laying the fiberglass. It is amazing to watch. Got to see every aspect of how the boat is built, and it is truly hand built. You will love it. We are lucky, we live fairly close (3 hours, close for Texas).

If you go over there and don't get the urge to buy a new boat then you will certainly be one of a kind.

Everytime I go there I want a new boat. The smell of the factory makes want a new one.

I wanted to go when our RZ2 was being built last January ... but work conspired against that plan.

I want to ride along on one of the lake tests. I have heard that the standard test subjects the boat to some very vigorous handling far in excess of what any end user would attempt. I would love to ride along and feel just what a Tige can do

I am really hoping that I get to do this as well. I am wondering if there are any liability issues with taking a ride while they put one through it's paces.
