Per a previous post, the seat back in the rear of my 2000 21i was saturated with water. It dripped brown, nasty water when I removed it and stood it up.
I brought it home and removed the panel and pulled back some of the upholstery and have been drying it out for 3 days.
It turns out it is just the wood that is soaked as there is a plastic barrier between it and the cushion.
Once it is fully dry, my plan is to coat the wood with a marine varnish and then use marine silicone around the panel so it won't get wet again.
Any problems with this plan?
This board has been very helpful and I can't thank you all enough.
One more question - I was astounded at how little info there was on the mechanics, electronics and construction of the boat in the "owners manual". Is there a more complete manual available?
