81 hrs on my 2006 20i; the steering isn't bad until I hop in my friend's Malibu and drive it. Noticable difference between the 2 boats. I love everything about my 20i, but the steering is not impressive. Anyone know what is up with the hard steering in Tige boats and if there is something I can do to improve it? Is this a design flaw or do I need to adjust, lubricate something. Thanks.

3 year old boat with 80 hours isn't all that heavy as far as use. Sitting parked/stored with the cable in one position in the sleeve is harder on it than lots of use. Allows cable to corrode inside sleeve and make steering hard. You'll be impressed with the improvement after the cable is replaced.
