Deep Scratch in Boat Gel Coat

Yesterday I had a dock incident with my Z1. I smacked the side of a dock getting out of the way of a swimmer that caused a deep scratch (gouge) in the driver side of the boat. The boat color is dark blue and now I have a foot long white scratch that I would like to fix. Any recommendations on repair?

I don’t see any major damage to the hull but is there any risk that I have major fiberglass damage I cant see?

Have it professionally repaired. Esp if it's in a highly visible area.

Sorry about that, it must really suck. I know how you feel, been there myself.

Probably not likely that you have any serious damage, just a big scar on your pride. If you can share a picture with us, we may have some ideas.

Had plenty of gel coat repairs done to my boat. You shouldn't have any damage other than cosmetic. Like scoot18 said, have it repaired by a prof.

Find your boat/color at the link, order the paste, and follow the very good instructions they provide. If you're the least bit handy it will be a few hour project and the color will match perfectly. If you're not so handy, take it in. Or if you just don't care about the extra money versus the manual labor, take it in.

It is a very easy project....just takes time.

SPECTRUM is the deal. I fixed thru holes in my interior and a couple of gouges from bringing in the anchor on the exterior and it works AWESOME. My wife came out and said, "where is the fix? I can not see any difference."
